Boudreau will join former Junior Bruins defenseman Kevin McKernan and Danny Federico and forward Guus Van Nes as fellow Quinnipiac Bobcat commits who also captained the Bruins. Boudreau will be entering his final year of junior hockey before matriculating to college for the 2019 season.
In addition to getting his commitment to Quinnipiac (NCAA DI, ECAC) while with the Bruins in 2018, Boudreau also saw his stock on the National Hockey League’s Central Scouting Report rise. Boudreau ascended all the way up to 117th on the report and remains hopeful of hearing his name called at the upcoming National Hockey League Draft in Dallas beginning on June 22nd.
“Cam is a tremendous competitor and someone who wants to learn and continue to get better. He has so much growth left in his game and is already a terrific skater and wonderful 1 on 1 defender. He’s going to have a huge season with us and I’m really excited to see his game continue to improve. He’s going to be awesome for Quinnipiac and the lessons he’ll learn captaining a very talented team with high expectations next season will only help his maturity in preparing him to be great in college”, head coach Mike Anderson.
Boudreau is the 5th defenseman in the past 3 years to wear a letter for the Bruins. Michael Kim (Boston College NCAA DI, Hockey East), Clay Han (Dartmouth NCAA DI, ECAC), Matthew Harris (RPI NCAA DI, ECAC) and Harrison Markell (Dartmouth NCAA DI, ECAC) were the others.
Congratulations to Cam on his family on this recognition. Go Bruins.
