MARLBORO, MA - The Empire team has gotten off to a fast start this season and that success continued over the past weekend
at the Beantown Fall Classic.
The Bruins sit at 18-5-0 overall and at 10-3 in Empire league play, they’re tied for 2nd in the North division. Forwards Vin D’Amato, Cam Cottam and Ryan O’Toole are pacing the offense all averaging over a point/game. On the backend the Bruins lead the Empire league with a 1.61GAA with blueliners Bryan Carter, Kyle Webb, Kyle Calrson, Matt Brett, Ben Piecz and Paul Martone all making steady contributions. Sam Dargene has seen the bulk of the work in net and has been rock solid posting an 11-2 record with 1.54GAA.
At the Fall Beantown over the weekend the Bruins would go 3-0 in round robin play with wins over the East Coast Militia, Carolina Hurricanes and Lower Austrian Stars. In Saturday’s playoff round the B’s posted a 2-0 win over the Texas Alliance and won a quarter-final rematch vs. Austria 1-0 with Marlboro native Kyle Griffin netting the lone goal late on the powerplay. In Sunday’s semi-final the Empire team jumped out to a commanding 3-0 lead and held on for a buy tadalafil online thrilling 3-2 win over a strong Hill Academy team. The all Bruins final went to the U18’s 2-0(en) but it was an excellent weekend for the team none the less.
Next up the B’s will head to Naples, Florida for the 1st annual Crocodile Cup. Quality league games are on the docket against the Florida Blades, South Shore Kings, Suffolk and Maksymum.
