Consistency for B’s

USPHL Leading .750 Winning Percentage

MARLBORO, MA – The Junior Bruins, in the USPHL’s inaugural season, have had success across all five divisions the league offers. The Bruins have a league leading .750 cumulative winning percentage across the Premier, Elite, Empire, 18U and 16U levels. No team has a winning percentage below .705%. All five teams have advanced to playoffs, with three teams holding a #1 seed in either their division or overall.

That includes a regular season title (Premier) and two division titles (18U and 16U teams). The Elites sit in 3rd place with a .732 win percentage and the Empire sit in second place behind Rochester with  a .705%.

The 18′s and 16′s get underway this weekend at NESC in Marlboro, MA. Both teams earned a “bye” into the quarterfinals for winning their division. The 16′s will play either South Shore, Islanders or Rochester on Sunday. The 18′s, like the 16′s, will draw the lowest remaining seed from Saturday’s round 1 games. They will face Portland, Islanders or Bay State.

Premier, Elite and Empire playoffs get underway in March.

“We are thrilled with how all the teams have performed this year,” Bruins Premier coach and GM, Peter Masters, commented. “Wins are hard to come by in each of the divisions and to have all our teams no worse than third place, all teams playoff bound and with two division titles and a regular season title already locked up is a testament to the hard work of the players in our program. Dating back to late August and early September, when all our players arrived to start the season,  they have made the necessary sacrifices, put the long hours in and earned everything they have gotten. We are excited for the next three weeks and the playoffs for all five of our teams.”
