AAA Team Philosophy

Junior Bruins AAA Tournament Teams

Our AAA tournament team program is one of biggest components of the Junior Bruins organization. We take great pride in these teams and run them in the same professional manner as we do our midget and junior teams. We look for players with a "team first" attitude, discipline, competitive intensity, character and a talent level for our teams.

During this slow period in hockey the Junior Bruins use this time to get involved with players and families on a “low commitment” basis. So, as each player progresses and is age eligible for our midget and junior programs and to play in the Beantown Classic at the Prospects, Future’s and Pro Division level, we already have a relationship with some of the families that we (and the Beantown Classic) will be interested in.

We also use these teams to stay busy during the aforementioned “slow period” with quality players from New England and beyond. We have increasingly expanded the area from which we draw our players from to include all of the US and Canada. While we still focus on the Greater Boston and New England area, we will go “out of area” to add quality players to our team.

An additional reason for putting these teams together is to give some of the top players in these area's new opportunities. Such as participating in some of the top tournaments in North America and Europe and against some of the top players from around the world. These teams also provide the players and families the freedom to play with some the players that they would normally be competing against. The players are also exposed to new teaching methods and coaching.

The Junior Bruins have many goals that we want to accomplish with each team. One, and the most important, is for the players and their parents to have am enjoyable, fun filled weekend and a great experience. The players and families that have come with us in the past have had a great time at the rink as well as away from the rink. A close second, is that every player learns something from his coaches and teammates. Another goal is to put together as strong a team as possible and enter them in the top AAA level tournaments offered.

We put together the most competitive team as possible. Our staff scouts youth games each season and our selections are based on ongoing evaluations at those games, our tryouts as well as camps run by the Junior Bruins and recommendations we get from trusted, independent sources. We select the players we feel earned an invitation by their level of play. We do not get to see every team or every player, so we choose from the players we see and the ones we feel deserve an invitatation.

As a member of the BRICK series, started in 2016, we now offer a schedule and experience that is second to none.

We have entered our teams in such tournaments as the Brick Super Novice Invitational (Edmonton, AB), Boston Showdown (Marlboro, MA), Toronto Invitational (Toronto, ON), PHD Bauer Shootout (Toronto, ON), Coast 2 Coast (Twin Cities, MN), Pacific Rim Challenge (Vancouver), Music City Invitational (Nashville), Kings of Vegas (Las Vegas), Vancouver Tournament of Champions (Vancouver, BC), Warrior Meltdown (Montreal) and the Beantown NAPS (Marlboro, MA).
