STRONG SHOWING AT BJB SHOOTOUT

B’s Go 12-1-2

MARLBORO, MA-The Junior Bruins had a strong showing as the hosts of the BJB Shootout with their teams goinga combined
12-1-2 in EJHL, Empire, ESHL and Little Bruins games.
 
The Shootout, which featured 90 plus teams, was a well attended event by scouts and college coaches as the scout sign in sheet topped 120 names.
 
The EJ team went 3-0 with wins over The Philadelphia Revolution, Applecore and the NE Huskies. The Empire team had a tough schedule but came up with big wins over the Jersey Hitmen, Applecore and got a point in a shootout loss to the Florida Blades. The ESHL team had a great opening weekend beating some EJHL-South teams en route to a 3-0-1 record. The Litte Bruins continued their strong play with an appearance in the semi finals of the U18 Division and included an overtime win in the quarterfinals on an Ara Nazarian goal.
 
The EJ team now turns to an exhibition at HArvard with the CT. Bobcats on Sunday, while the Little B’s play the same team on Saturday at Brown University. The Little B’s are 2-0 on the year against the Bobcats. The Empire team has another tough weekend with three league games starting Friday with the NE Jr. Huskies, Saturday against the Salem Ice Dogs and finishing with a road game on Sunday at the Springfield Pics.
