2013 WSI-Sweden Promotional Flier
“This is an exciting addition to our AAA tournament team program and will give these players and families a one of a kind experience as well as playing in a tournament with world class competition,” Program Director Chris Masters commented. “Not only will these players see one of the most beautiful cities and countries in the world but will also play against teams they would never see here in North America.”
“We feel our player pool is now deep enough that we will be able to send an elite team to Sweden,” he continued. “This is obviously a unique team and experience and we will look to build this team through an invite process that will start in the fall of 2012 as well as at our tryouts in December ’12/January ’13. The 2001 team will continue to go to other tournaments in the US and Canada so that those that don’t make the team or can’t swing a trip to Europe will still be able to play for us.”
“These players will compete on an international stage at a young age which can help them prepare for tournaments such as the World U17, World U18 and World Junior Championships should they make those as the climb the hockey ladder. They also will benefit from a cultural learning environment that has them participate in fun activities with players from many different countries. The players and family members that travel with them will also tour the city, taking in area attractions including museums, historic sites, and natural wonders.
“In the same manner that

playing on our Brick team provides a once in a lifetime experience and creates life long memories we feel this will be a similar team to play on. Whether it is a player who joins us on our 7 year old team or joins our summer program when they are older these players can now see the world playing in our program. A player who is with us can now play against the top players and teams in the world at their age group as well as seeing such cities as Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Las Vegas and now Stockholm.”
