B’s Blueliner Makes College Choice

Newly drafted Bruins NCDC defenseman Michael Brown has accepted a scholarship to play Division I hockey at Merrimack College. Brown has been viewed by the Bruins staff as one of the top ’01 defenseman in the state for a few years now. The Belmont, MA native will suite up this fall for the B’s NCDC squad. The 6’3 left shot D man is expected to step in and play a big role on an experienced, talent rich Bruins squad.

“Mike is just beginning to understand how good a player he can be. He’s had a good summer with us and we’re really looking forward to getting him on the ice everyday and taking his game to another level”, Bruins assistant coach John Butler. In addition to his commitment to Merrimack Brown will join teammates Robby Griffin, Cam Boudreau and Yaniv Perets as players under consideration with the NHL’s central scouting.
