Assistant Coach-Junior Bruins 18U

Kiernan enters his second year with the Junior Bruins organization during the 2013-2014 campaign. During that span, he has been an assistant coach with the U18’s and also coached at the youth level with the Junior Bruins summer  ’02, ’03 and ’05 teams, as well as participating in Brick team evaluation camps.  Kiernan coached previously at Catholic Memorial High School.
 
A native of Norfolk, MA, Kiernan played high school hockey at Catholic Memorial, winning three Massachusetts Super 8 tournament championships.  He was also a member of the now-defunct Walpole Jr. Stars EJHL team.  He went on to play collegiately at Lebanon Valley College where he was an ECAC Northeast All-Rookie Defenseman nominee during the 2002 hockey season.  He finished up his playing career for Rob Davies and the Curry College Colonels.  He was also a member of the lacrosse team.
 
Kiernan is currently a teacher in the Natick Public School system and is pursuing a second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Boston College.  He resides in Millis, MA with his wife, Kate.
