Former Junior Bruins and Hudson High School standout Brian Fahey has been tabbed to head coach the Junior Bruins split season fall team. The team will be geared towards central mass high school juniors and seniors that are starting to think about college hockey or playing juniors after their time in high school is over.
The team will begin with games over Labor Day weekend and run thru early November. There will be a couple preseason practices to get everyone acclimated to each other and weekly practices will be available to these players Tuesday thru Thursday with Junior Bruins fall teams. Fahey, played for the Junior Bruins from 2012-14 before heading to Worcester State as a freshman in the 2014-15 season (NCAA DIII).
Brian is a former captain at Hudson High School and understands the importance of enjoying your high school experience. Program director Mike Anderson concurs adding, “The goal with this fall team is to provide talented local players a great avenue to play competitive hockey before their winter seasons ramp up, get great coaching and receive exposure to the appropriate colleges that they may have the ability to play at either right after high school or after a year of post-graduate/junior hockey”.
Through his experiences as a successful high school player himself and now a recruiter and assistant coach at Albertus Magnus, a NCAA Division III school based out of New Haven, CT Brian has a wealth of knowledge and experiences that will be invaluable to our players and families as they sort out the college recruiting process for their players.
